Join us for a special talk on historic turnpikes and Washington’s stagecoach inn. Participants will learn about Connecticut’s early roads, it’s turnpikes, stagecoach routes and the Logan Family Inn. The presentation will be given by Washington residents Steve Solley, Kenyon Clark and museum curator Amy Campanaro. The lecture will be given at the Historic Logan Family Homestead.
John and Margaret Logan arrived in Judea (now Washington) in 1738, building the family home in 1748. In the 1800s, the homestead served as the Inn of the Rising Sun on the New Haven to Albany turnpike. Now a private residence, the home remains in the Logan Family.
